Bell Harbor Fishy Fountain (GC1RK7B)

This is a multi-cache that starts at this cool fish fountain in the Bell Harbor Marina.  In order to complete this cache you have to go around and count things like the number of title panels in the fishes tail.  It's a pretty nice lunchtime cache.  You don't have to leave the marina to complete the cache and it only takes about an hour to finish the cache.  The hardest part was avoiding all the people eating lunch while trying to collect the clues and find the cache.  Once I figured out where the cache was it took me 20 minutes just waiting for one guy to finish his lunch since he was sitting on top of geocache.

Piers 62 and 63 (GC1BQ9B)

Out for a quick lunchtime cache on Pier 62/63. The pier use to be the site of the annual Summer Nights at the Pier concert series, at which performances were punctuated by the sound of passing trains and trolleys, and docking and departing ferries. Anymore the pier isn't used for anything but it does provides a place to stroll out over the water to view Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains and the Seattle skyline.

As You Wish (GC1PG3X)

After dinner the boys wanted to do 2 things first go find a Geocache and second watch Avatar.  So I had read about this cache a while ago but never actually made it out here to find it.  I had forgotten most of the description just that it had something to do with The Princess Bridge movie.

So the boys and I were just starting to look when Tom from FugeFinders pulled up to say hi and give me a little clue. I met his wife Lynette and the kids last week while looking for a cache in Allen Yorke Park. With Tom's help it didn't take but a minute to find the cache.

This weekend there is a Geocaching 10 year aniversary event at Aversano's in Sumner hosted by FugeFinders.  I'm looking forward to meeting some other geocaches.

Waterfall Park Cache (GCHXVJ)

This is a very cool area in the middle of downtime Seattle.  The park is a garden with a 22 foot waterfall that is mesmerizing.  Eight Japanese stonemasons built the park in 1977 on the original location of the United Parcel Service.  It's pretty much only open to the public during the day but it's a fun place to go for lunch.

The Missing Lamp Post (GC15C75)

This was just suppose to be a "quick" lunch time cache.  Unfortunately, the public transit system in Seattle at noon doesn't understand the word quick.  It took me 20 minutes each way to go less then a mile, I should have just walked it work have been faster.

It was a pretty cool puzzle cache here is the cache details.  On the actual page the red font is white and hidden until you highlight the text.

**THE CACHE IS NOT LOCATED AT THE LISTED COORDINATES, THIS IS FOR THE MISSING LAMP POST***

At the cache site there are 4 large bolts that should have a lamp post attached but for some reason there isn't one  so it's just the bolts hence the cache name.  The cache is hidden on the fence right next to the missing lamp post.

Fennel Creek - Revisited (GC27B62)

This is the first geocache I have hidden.  Since Fennel Creek was my first find. I figured it was only fitting to make Fennel Creek- Revisited my first hide as a tribute to the original.  I really wanted to do a fun complex cache but in the end I figured I should just start with a simple kid friendly cache just to get my feet wet.  This cache is like 500 feet from my house so I will be able to keep an eye on it.

Congratulations to FugeFinders for being the first to find.

Never Forget the Fallen (GC25C7Y)

Today when I picked the boys up from Daycare we decided to go find a geocache in nearby Enumclaw.  I had see this cache pop up on the website a while ago and I have wanted to go find it.  This cache is pretty easy but the location is behind a memorial for our soldiers.  the Memorial is a larger purple heart for all the soldiers injured in battle.

It was a great opportunity for me to teach the boys a little about the sacrifices our soldier make to protect us.

Double Bubble Toil & Trouble (GC24H25)

This is one of the coolest and grossest geocaches I have found.  The Today Show listed the Gum Walk in Post Alley as the Second Germiest Place on Earth, that's pretty gross.  I stopped by here at the beginning of my lunch and ran into 2 other geocaches looking for it.  The three of us looked for a little while with no luck.

So I left and came back a little while later with Frank my geocaching buddy from work.  After about 10 minutes of looking I spotted the cache.  Great camouflage, do you see it?

Mimi's and Papa's 50th (GC21FVB)

I tried to find this cache once before at lunch time but I could get anywhere near it because there were so many people around.  Today I went down before the lunch time rush and found it fairly easily.  It was a little nano on the underside of a picnic table.

The Foothills Trail Coin Exchange (GC2343C)

I took the boys to Enumclaw Spring Fair today.  On the way home we decided to stop by this geocache on the way home.  This was a fun easy cache, Ethan had fun because he was the one to find it.

Allen Yorke Beach (GC27B5T)

The boys and I went to Julie's work to get haircuts, while we were there I got an email about a newly published geocache in the nearby area at Allen Yorke Park.  As soon as we were done we headed by the park on our way home.  I didn't really think we would be the first to find but I figured it couldn't hurt to swing by and check.

As we pulled up I saw a group of geocachers signing the log.  I went up and introduced myself, as it turns out I have talked with most of them via email.  It was nice to finally meet Road Trip, Fozroc, GPSWonderer, and FugeFinders.  They let me sign the log before returning it to it's hiding spot.

Carbon River Bison (GC1RQA9)

Today is the 15th day in a row I have found a geocache.  The boys and went for a little walk along the river and found this cache.  They really do love geocaching, they just which they we all large enough to have toys in them.

Williams Park Cache (GC23CVZ)

The boys and I looked all over for this cache but we could find it.  The boys were getting restless so I finally called it marked it as a DNF "Did Not Find".  We will have to go back and look again.

UPDATE: April 23, 2010 6:30 PM

Had to come back today and find this one.  I had a clue this time but it was still a great hide.  Probability the best camouflage I have even seen.  Julie and the boys stayed in the car while I went and found this one.

Do you see it?

Very cool camouflage!

B.B.C. at the STUCK RIVER BRIDGE (GCZQX6)

I stopped by for a cup of coffee and a quick geocache.  I meet the owner of the Beyond the Bridge Cafe, Ben, he seems like a great guy.  Outside I quickly find the cache it just took a few minutes to make sure no one was looking.

McMillin Trailhead (GC1APEP)

When I got home from work Julie wanted to go running and the boys wanted to go too.  Since they can't keep up with Julie while she is running we just hung out along the trail.  We walked along the foot bridge and found a geocache at the trailhead.

Seattle Public Libraries: Downtown Central (GCZXJK)

Today at lunch I went to the Seattle Library to find this cache.  It was a quick easy cache the problem was this guy who was standing right in front of the cache smoking and talking on the phone.  After like 15 minutes he finally moved on.  Then I was able to pickup the cache and drop off a geocoin.

The Wall (GC1N8HH)

This cache is in the same shopping area as Groundhog's revenge. Say hello to my little friend.  Donny tells me he had looked for this cache at least 10 times before he found it.  Once I looked at the clue (see picture) it took me maybe 30 seconds to find it.  I did get lucky and started my search on the right side of "The Gate".

Groundhog's revenge. Say hello to my little friend (GC1TJ8T)

I looked all over for this cache but I couldn't find it.  Donny has been looking for it on and off for almost a year so I don't feel too bad about not being able to find it after looking for less then an hour.  I will find it, it's just going to take me a little time to figure it out.

UPDATE: April 24, 2010 2:45 PM

So Ethan, Oliver, and I meet my parents in Tacoma for lunch and a little trip to Chuck E. Cheese. We dropped Oliver off with my parents to spend the night.  As Ethan and I were headed home when we decided to take the long way around and try to find this cache again.

As we pulled up I saw Rhonda standing there looking, as we parked I saw Donny getting out of the car.  What are the chances that Donny and I would both go for this caches at the exact same time?  It didn't take us long now that we had a little clue to help find the geocache.

Snips & Snails - Tacoma (GCXXG8)

This was out final cache in Point Defiance Park.  I end up looking for 2 more later that night but this was it for the park.  Not a bad day with 10 finds in the park.

While we were looking for the geocache we started on the wrong side of the road and found a "Dangerous Cliff" sign.  The girls had to stop for a picture.

Eagle Eyes View (GCNRE3)

Half the group had to take a little break.  So while we were waiting there just happen to be a geocache a few hundred feet away so we walked over to find it.  It was a simple find not far off the main road.  Jason made the find while the rest of us were still walking up to the area.

The Mountaineer Tree (GC1C60Y)

The one downside of my GPSr is it using the same icon for tradition caches as it does for multi-caches.  We didn't even know this was a multi-cache until after we had already stopped to look for it.  Luckily, it was an easy multi-cache and we were able to solve it within a few minutes.

Henry's Stash (GC19PZ4)

We searched and search all over for this cache for at least 45 minutes.  We almost gave up on this cache twice.  Everyone else was done and ready to move on.  When Donny was reading some of the old logs.  He had read something about moss growing where it doesn't belong and for some reason it hit me.  I just knew where the cache was hidden.  I walked back to the location and without even using my GPSr I walked right to it.  Funny how sometimes it just clicks.

Going to the Chapel, we gonna get married!! (GC26MPT)

We stopped at Owen Beach for some lunch.  After a little BBQ we were ready to go looking for another geocache.  We found this one nearby but up a steep hill.  The guys went to find the cache while the lady's stayed behind.  After searching for awhile with little help from the GPSr we eventually found the cache.

I picked up the Slug Bug Want To Be- No Return Geocoin from the cache.

Timber ! ! ! ! ! (GC13QV1)

All I can say is WOW I wonder how much time it would take to make this cache onsite.  This was one of the most well done hides I have seen.  It looked like a log until you touch it and see it's been cut in half and hollowed out to make room for a container.

Mossy Glen (GC23AQX)

This was an absolutely beautiful place, there was moss everywhere.  It took us a little while to find this cache as it was covered up with moss in a sea of moss..

CNS (GC1VHFA)

This was a fun little cache.  The hardest part was avoiding the mud puddles on the walk to the GZ.  Once there our GPSrs were bounching around in all the trees but we found the cache and that's all that matters.

DO NOT ENTER (GC22EY9)

I made this cache way harder then it should have been.  The terrain rating is a 2 star and I made it a 5.  We started on the wrong path and following my GPSr we had to walk across a pretty large and deep gully.  Donny, Jason, and I made it across the others waited, Glenn was the only smart one who walked around.  Once we made it to the other side it was easy to find the geocache.

I guess they really don't want you to enter.  Not really sure how this sign got there but it looks like it had been there awhile.

Wilkes View (GCM1T6)

I meet up with a couple of buddy from work for a day of Geocaching at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma.  There are like 20 plus geocaches in the park.  I was sure how many people would be joining us or how many caches we would find.

While we waited for everyone to show up Donny and I decided to find this cache which was just a few feet from where we were meeting everyone.  Here is a nice shot of Donny trying to put the geocache container back.

Phatboyz...Go Dogz (GCH3NT)

I was on my way to Point Defiance Park for an all day geocaching trip, since I was running a little early I figured I would stop and find this webcam cache.  The area was empty at 10am on a Sunday morning.  It's a little hard to see me but I'm the only guys standing there.

The Mystery of the Obsidian Capstone (GC1YXJR)

This was our last geocache of the day.  We were on our way back home when the boys said they wanted to find one more.  This one was just a mile or so from the last geocache so I figured why not.

This was a pretty cool cache container it is an nalgene bottle set in concrete and rock.

Go Play Outside - Voights Creek Hatchery (GCYM61)

This was by far the easier geocache I have found.  Literally it was just sitting right were you see it in the picture.  It's designed to be easy to encourage families to go outside and play.

The boys loved it Ethan spotted the cache from 15 feet away and they both ran towards it.  Unfortunately, Oliver tripped and fell but he wasn't hurt.

Bridge the gap II "Foothills" (GC557C)

This cache is just down the trail from the first cache.  Of course in the 10 minute walk to get between caches the boys had to stop for a snack.

Since the cache is across the bridge over looking the river the boys had to pickup a couple of rocks to throw into the water on our walk back.

Foothill Trails #1 (Bob's Place) (GCGJZT)

The boys and I went out to find a few geocaches today, we had to cut the day short because I was spending the afternoon babysitting my niece.

This was our first find for the day.  It's along the foothills trail in Orting.  The boys and I love to walk along the trail.  Inside the geocache we found My Quarter. Travel Bug, it's a cool large plastic quarter.
