"Find Me" (GC2C01C)

So this cache was published at 1:47pm.  While on the train home from Seattle I looked and no one had logged an FTF yet.  So I figured I would go check it out and maybe just maybe I could get my first FTF.  Well I get to the cache at 4:10pm and look at the log Team ReeBo beat me to the cache by 15 minutes.  So I got another second to find.  Not bad, but I'm still looking for an FTF.

Mr Misty Crusade (GC25W3J)

This was just a quick park and grab after filling up with Gas for the drive home.

Moses Lake Aviary (GC29K2W)

This was a cool little find.  It's a fake bird house that opens up and the cache is inside, the boys got some fun stickers and toys.  It was also right on the lake so we got to see a few ducks playing in the water.

Cache formerly known as Moses Lake Micro Multi (GC1JDVK)

This was another cache that was on someone front porch.  I usually skip these unless the cache owner is home, I just don't like walking on to someone front porch without them being there, I always worry about the neighbors thinking I am stealing something.

I turned around to pull out when the neighbor came and flagged me down.  He asked if we were Geocaching and I told him we were.  He said go head and go up to find it, the cache owner is an elderly man who was away but he really enjoyed having cachers stop by.  So knowing the neighbors weren't going to call the cops on me or anything I figured we would go head and find the cache.

Every other town has one (at least)! (GC139P8)

Just a quick park in grab.  It's was a glass jar which was a little surprising that doesn't make the best cache container.  The glass was cracked so someone duck taped it up.

Chubby Girl #10 Rocking all night (GC1N542)

This was another fun find.  The boys weren't too happy because while it was a good sized cache it was empty instead.

Chubby girl cache #1 (GC18BQX)

Finally, a large cache full of swag for the boys to trade.  They sure do love large caches.  Oliver went into the tumble weed and pulled the cache out.

Chubby girl 30 just had to do it today (GC2BFW9)

This was just another park in grab but it's a cool butterfly / moth looking critter.

Charlie Brown (GC2BGPC)

This was just a quick park in grab but it had a cool Charlie Brown drawn on it.

Laconia (GCJPFX)

So Today I decided to take the boys on a little road trip.  The original plan was to drive out to Pullman and take the boys to WSU but as always it took the boys a little longer then expected to get ready and out the door.  Instead we just decide to drive until we got tried then head home.

This cache is at the top of Snoqualmie Pass, so far it's my highest elevation find.  It's a quick find during the summer but would be under snow in the winter.

The boys were having fun and putting the cache and race car on their heads.

Them's Good Eatin' (GC17QMZ)

After dinner Oliver and I went out to find a quick cache.  It was a nice little walk with some cows along the trail. Oliver loved seeing the cows.  One even mowed at him, Oliver just laughed.  The cache was easy enough to find but the weeds were pretty talk so it took me a few minutes to fight my way back to the cache container.

Seahawks Rock (GC11EF6)

I solved this puzzle yesterday at lunch but couldn't find the cache because there was a muggle sitting on the rock where the cache was hidden.  Today at a little before 6am there wasn't anyone around, it only took me a few minutes to find the cache.

Danny's cache (GC2BFA8)

I took the boys out for a quick find after dinner tonight.  They only like larger caches with toys and this was a smaller one so I was glad it had a few things in it for the boys.

hazel del town center micro (GC1X1Q4)

This was just a quick park and grab since Julie had to stop to do a little shopping I figured I would do a little caching.

Time for a Cool Change (GC10MWX)

I decided to take a little walk along the river and see if there were any caches along a trail I saw last night while on our way to dinner.  It's a great walking trail and I knew there had to be a few caches along it somewhere.  It didn't take long before I had this in my hands.

Welcome to Gladstone (GC1H6Q3)

I woke up early, Julie and the boys were still sleeping so I went across the street from the hotel and got a cup of coffee.  I figured while I was out I might as well do a little exploring and maybe find a few caches.  This one was only a few blocks from the hotel so I walked up there and made a quick find.

Un-Original Stash (GC92)

This cache is only a couple feet from the tribute plaque.  It was placed here Makaio and now maintained by ponyryder I have to say thanks to both of them for creating and maintaining this cache over the years.  Ethan found this cache without a GPS and with nothing more then me just saying their was a nearby ammo can.  I was trying to look it up on my iPhone but I didn't have very good cell service so I was turning on my GPS when he found it.

The bugs were attacking us in the muggy weather so we just signed the log and the boys traded some toys and we got out of there.

Original Stash Tribute Plaque © (GCGV0P)

So we finally made it to the original stash tribute plaque.  I have wanted to visit this cache since I first heard about it about a year ago.  I have been close 2 other times while driving through Portland but didn't have a chance to make the trip out here.

This weekend Julie and I decided to take the kids to the Portland Zoo and while we were down there I would be able to go find this cache.

So the boys had their last soccer game on Saturday and then we headed down.  Once we got checked into our hotel we headed out.  Luckily, the hotel Julie booked was only 15 miles from the cache.  We made a quick find for the plaque and then found the nearby cache.

Sit & Rock (GC2BEM2)

So it was Friday morning and I thought I might just might have a chance to get an FTF "First To Find" this cache was published a little after midnight and at 3:30 when I checked my no one had logged a find.  So I quickly got dress for work and headed out to find it.  On my way down I got the email someone else had already found it.  I figured I was already halfway there why not continue on my way.  Once I got there I was able to make the find quickly.

Say Hi to Katie (GC1CRGE)

It was such a nice day at work today I decided to head out and find a cache.  This one is about a mile from my work so it took a good part of lunch to walk up there find the cache and walk back but it was nice just to get out and enjoy some sunshine.

Got Milk? (GC2B91M)

At Geowoodstock VIII my mom bought each of the boys their own cache container so we had to place a few new caches in the area.  This one is pretty neat it's a large plastic Oreo cookie.  We hide it near our house to replace a cache that was recently archived in the area.

CONGRATULATIONS 1nascarnut & Kaydekay on the FTF

Home Town Oddity: Two Ways In,One Way Out (GC18T6X)

Dad wanted to find one more on the way home.  He has been watching a travel bug that ended up here and other cachers were saying this was one of the largest caches they had seen.  While it is big I have seen a few others that are larger.  It was still fun, and now I know a good place to put those large travel bugs I come across.

Lost & Found Celebration (GC24GYW)

I'm glad I got to go to the Lost & Found Celebration the logbook was pretty cool.  It's on Plywood so they can hang it up after the event.  Or do something with it :-)

Groundspeak Headquarters (GCK25B)

What more do a need to say it's Groundspeak HQ.  Dad and I both had a great time attending the Lost & Found event.

JP and Gertrude (GC1FHQV)

We had solved this multi earlier in the day but it was pretty far away so it took us a while to get to the cache.  We were the first people to find it today but just as we were leaving 2 other geocachers were walking up.  This was a pretty nice hide with the GPS bounce in Seattle it took us a few minutes to get to the right spot.

--Tom

A Hidden Bench (GC28KD4)

This was one of the few caches we actually had to find.  We were the first ones of the day to find this cache.  It was an easy find.  With 3 of us looking it didn't take but a minute to find the cache.  This looks like it would be a great little hidden park but it's a little overgrown.

--Tom

Burke-Gilman Detour (GC17DQ3)

This was a great hide.  You can't really see it from the picture but this is cap to sign post.  It would have been difficult except there was a group of people just putting it back as we walked up.

--Tom

A 'Love'ly Cache (GC23RYB)

From the last cache you could see the group of people signing the log for this cache.  We just had to walk down there and wait our turn to sign it.

Sitting on a Smiley (GC2A4DA)

This was a nice little cache along the water front.  It's right by a park bench in the shape of a smiley face.

Doggie Bowl (GC1NKDN)

This was an easy find.  Normally it's a nano but the cache owner replaced it with an ammo box for the Groundspeak Lost and Found Event.  That was such a good idea because really with so many people in the area the caches never really got put away.  And this way we didn't have to worry about the logbook being full.

--Tom

Trolls Lair (GC11HRQ)

We couldn't leave the area without visiting the Fremont Troll.  Of course there is a cache by the troll.  Dad was telling me someone from his high school helped make the troll.

Beneath Aurora (GCHHT0)

Our first find after finally finding parking for the big Lost & Found Celebration.  This cache is the closest one to the event and with 20 people standing around it signing the log it was the easiest cache I have found.

Dad also wanted to have a little fun with some nearby artwork.

--Tom

This one's for Mom! (GC1ZYVM)

Dad and I had to make a coffee stop at the University Village Mall.  After the coffee we had to go say hi to CaptainKevin's mom.  He put a cache out in front of his mom's retirement home.  She is 92 years old and loves to say hi to the Geocachers as they are finding the cache.  Unfortunately, I think it was too early in the morning and we didn't see CaptinKevin's mom.

An Innocent Love of Geocaching (GC617)

This is the oldest non-traditional cache in Washington State.  I found the first 2 waypoints a few weeks ago but didn't have an easy way to get up to the final coords.  Since Dad and I were headed up to the Lost & Found Celebration at Groundspeak Headquarters we figured we would head up early and find a few caches before the event.  Hopefully, we would be early enough to get a good parking spot.

Dad and I were able to find the cache pretty quickly once we found parking.  It's up by the UW stadium so I'm glad it wasn't a game day or we would have never found parking.

Riverside Cache (GC1D7AV)

After Geowoodstock we headed home to meet up with Mom as she was getting off work.  It was such a nice night we headed down to the river and took a little walk.

Geowoodstock VIII (GC1QM7K)

It's finally here.  I first heard about this event about 2 weeks after I started caching so I have been waiting a while to attend my first Mega Event.  My Mom, Dad, the boys and I all headed out to Remlinger Farms in Carnation, WA.  There were about 5,000 people who showed up to the event.  It was massive, and we had so much fun.

While at the event we saw Paul Bunyan's Ammo Can it has to be the world's largest ammo can.  It's so big you can walk through it.  The boys had fun playing inside.

In Plain View (GC19HVC)

When I got home from work Ethan was at the movies with his Grandma "Nanna" so I took Oliver out for a Geocache and ice cream after dinner.  The cache a fun little find in Sumner but Oliver really enjoyed his ice cream.

Pike Place Micro (GC1PFEJ)

This cache has been disabled for a while now so when I saw it was activated the other day I headed out to find it on my lunch break.  I had the pleasure of running into 2 couples from New England out finding a few caches before Geowoodstock.  So I took them down to find another nearby cache on my way back to the office.

Shop 'till You Drop! (GC25D1A)

This cache was not only fun but educational.  It's always a pain to find parking at this outlet mall but not any more.  The cache is located around behind the mall in a great little parking area that no one knows about.  You can walk right into the back side of the mall without having to fight for a parking spot.

The cache is stuck to a nearby fence under some trees.  It took me a few minutes to find the cache as my GPS was bouncing around a little too much.  But once it settled down I was able to make the find.  Just as I pulled the log from the bison tube a security guard drove up and rolled his window down.  Just as I was about to begin my talk explaining all about Geocaching he asking if I had found it yet and gave me a little smile.  I held up the logbook which was a nice bright orange and he just said congratulations and drove off.  I guess it's a good thing they know what we crazy Geocachers are doing hanging around under the tree in along the back of the mall.

Outlets Exit Here (GC1XN4N)

We had to head home from my brother-in-laws house today, but Julie had to stop at the outlet mall and do a little shopping.  While she was shopping I headed out to see if I couldn't get a few cache in.  This was a fun little hind.  it was a bison tube taped to a long coat wire that was stuck in the sign to the mall.  You could only see a little piece of the wire hanging out of the sign but as you pulled it the bison tube appeared.

PLSO Geometry in the Park (GC1T6EE)

This time my niece really wanted to find another cache so we headed down the road a little to another cache.  This one was a somewhat typical cache you had to reach under a gazebo just out of sight to make the find.  Mark found it while we were all looking and feeling around.
