Cougars Coming Out of the WAZZU (GC20G34)
I saw this cache on the geocaching website and knew I just had to find it. What can I say I will always bleed crimson and gray, GO COUGS!!!
Ethan didn't want to go so Oliver and I set out the day after Christmas. It was a good opportunity for me to test my new Garmin etrex Venture HC GPSr Christmas present. I have my iPhone for paperless caching so I just wanted a small handheld for those times when you really don't want to be carrying a iPhone.
Oliver and I quickly found this cache and Oliver loved all the WSU stickers inside. We took a cool WSU poster and left a WSU keychain.

School Power (GC16JX0)
I took today off work to spend some time with my boys. Ethan had a Christmas party at preschool and wanted me to go. I was pretty prove of him, all the kids were running around like typical 4 year olds but whenever the teacher asked them to do something Ethan was always the first one to listen and do it.
So after the party and lunch I took the boys out to find a geocache. We found the cache container with little trouble. The neighbor was checking her mail and gave us a funny look while we were walking in the woods nearby.
However, something weird happened with my iPhone when I tried to restart it the phone just froze so I had to restore it so I lost the pictures of the boys out geocaching. I think the only thing I lost was the pictures hopefully everything else is still there.

YA WANT 23 FRYS WITH THAT? (GC202A1)
The boys wanted to go Geocaching tonight but it was starting to dark and just too darn cold to go hunting for a cache in the woods.
Since my wife was working late I figured I would that the boy out for dinner. Then I remember their was a drive up geocache at the Bonney Lake Sonic. Sounds great to me we get to find a geocaching and have dinner without leaving the car.
Ethan wanted to hold the cache container while I took the picture. Oliver said he was a hungry, hungry hippo and tried to put the whole corn dog in his mouth at once.

The Cedar Grove (GC10T1Q)
This cache is right across the street from the other cache we found today. Since the first one was small and didn't have any toys for the boys to trade we had to find another one with some swag.
This one wasn't too bad it was just a little hard because the iPhone GPS isn't the best under a lot of tree cover. Plus the leaves a pretty much done falling so there is a good extra couple of inches of leaves covering the cache.
We found it, the boys got some new toys so everyone is happy.

Have you read your Bible lately? (GC14H0Q)
The boys and I went out for a little geocaching trip to the neighborhood park. I am not really sure why we haven't found this one before it's only a mile from our house. Either way we did it today. It was freezing cold so I had the boys wear their winter coats.
This cache was a mystery cache that had to do with deciphering bible passages for those of you who know me you know I don't even own a bible little lone am I able to quote from it. But Google is my friend and I figured I could guess my way through the clues. Luckily, the cache owners had just changed this cache to only have one passages to decipher instead of the 3 or 4 that it use to be.
I was able to figure out the passage was JOHN 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." But that didn't help my any. I was suppose to take the verse, derive a, b, c, d, & e and plug into the following coordinates: N 47 11.ab(c+6) W 122 10.0(d+7)(e-2) whatever that means. Based off where I was and the hint about walking on water I guessed the geocaching was under a nearby walking bridge.
Thank God for lucky guesses or we might still be out there figuring out how to decipher the clues.
Anyway it was a good hide and a nice little bridge. Ethan was a pouting because Oliver got to hold the cache container for the picture, Kids :-)

Cooper's Crib? (GC16YA1)
A few years ago there was a article in New York Magazine published an articled title Unmasking D.B. Cooper where they make the case that Kenneth Christiansen is the infamous D.B. Cooper.
This cache is in tribute to D.B Cooper and his ties to Bonney Lake.
The boys and I made quick work of the cache. It was a rock wall cache meaning the geocache is hidden somewhere in a 20 foot long rock wall. I really don't like rock wall cache but this one wasn't too bad.

Della's 8-25 B-Day (GC15EK9)
The boys wanted to go geocaching after nap time today. If going geocaching is what it takes to have them take a good nap then it sounds like a win - win to me.
For our first cache we headed just up the street from our house. The cache was fairly easy to find Oliver had fun grabbing the cache container. Inside we found 2 parachute guys.

time will wait for no one (GC1Y38X)
Julie needed to go look for a dress for my work Christmas party, so we headed to the mall. The boys weren't too happy to be sitting at the mall. So I told them if they were good we would find a nearby geocache.
We stopped at Famous Dave's for lunch and while waiting for our food I found this cache. So after lunch we went looking. Julie stayed in the car because it was cold and she is still in the boot.
It didn't take us long to find it but there was a large plastic spider on the top of the cache container so Ethan wouldn't go near it. There wasn't much in the cache and it was windy and freezing cold so we didn't stay long.

LMWCM-2000 (GC1RWZF)
Well since the first cache today was so easy we decided to find another. Micro's are always a little more difficult with the boys. They just don't care since there aren't any toys to find.
We weren't have much luck finding the cache and we were leaving when I decided to take one more quick look. I had already put the boys in the car when I found it. So I took it to the car and took some pictures with the boys.

Jacob's Junk (GC214M5)
The boys were being good this morning and it wasn't raining so they were itching to go find a cache. Recently, I saw this geocache on the website it seemed easy and good for the boys to find.
It is a nice little park near my house. I didn't take us long to find the cache container and the boys found a cool wooden airplane and a slinky. I left the Tibby's Warm Suncatcher Geocoin.

MFC09 (skystone Ascension) (GC1ZQX5)
The boys have been sick lately combined with the weather changing means we haven't be caching much. But today was nice so I took them out. This is a fairly new cache and I haven't had a chance to go after it yet.
The cache was fairly easy to find but it was a nice walk along a great path. I dropped off a travel bug Black Mirrored Lure and picked up the Tibby's Warm Suncatcher Geocoin.

Suburban Transit (GCYQVY)
Took the boys out for another cache. This was the first multi-cache I have tried with both boys. I liked this multi. The first stage was fairly straight forward but the clue was well hidden. I was a PSE magnet on a PSE powerbox.
The second stage was a fake rock in a rock wall. All and all it was a great cache. We didn't take anything but I left the Historical Geocoin.

A Dark & Stormy Night #1: GEOrge Was Here (GCKRZG)
Just out for a quick cache with the folks. This one was a good hide it was a outlet plate velcroed to the wall. Not much to it.

Food, Gas, TB LODGEing (GC1Y78G)

I also pickedup a travel bug and geocoin:

Get on the bus, Gus! (GC171E4)
Third stop of the day, at a bus stop no less. It was a pretty busy road so we didn't stay long. It was a nice little rock wall cache.

Weekend in Bonney Lake (GC1234X)
For the second stop we found a cache in the parking lot of the Home Depot. It was a pretty cool hide. it's a bolt that unscrews with a little log book inside.

When the Wind Blows - My Very Own JARW (GC17C0B)
Dad called and said he was in town just as the boys and I were headed out to find a few caches. So we met up with him and grabbed a few. Oliver took a fall and scraped his knee. He wasn't very happy and didn't want to take any thing from the cache.

zntargvp meets Evil (C)ammo (GC1932Z)
Out caching with Jchaager, MysticCedars, & RJBroxton and kids on an all day trip to find all the Evil (C)ammo series.
I found this one to be a clever yet fair straightforward find. Maybe only straightforward because we found zntargvp series #3 earlier in the day.
I picked up a travel bug Alien Visitor Delta

Evil (C)ammo 2 (GC18V66)
Out caching with Jchaager, MysticCedars, & RJBroxton and kids on an all day trip to find all the Evil (C)ammo series.
If Evil (C)ammo 6 was the nicest walk in the series this is by far the most difficult. A 2.5 star Terrain seems a little low (at least this time of year). I should have worn pants for this one. The kids couldn't make in on the last part of the trail the brush was too thick.
6 of 10 caches for the day.

Evil (C)ammo 6 (GC1C70Z)
Out caching with Jchaager, MysticCedars, & RJBroxton and kids on an all day trip to find all the Evil (C)ammo series.
Next it was off to Black Diamond for Evil (C)ammo 6. At first we weren't sure if we were parking in the right spot. We saw the trail head but it didn't seem like it fit in with the rest of the series. Luckily one of the neighbors saw us kind of unsure and assured us we were in the right spot.
This is by far the nicest walk of any in the Evil (C)ammo series. I really enjoyed the little creek and bridge.

Evil (C)ammo 1 (GC18WWT)
Out caching with Jchaager, MysticCedars, & RJBroxton and kids on an all day trip to find all the Evil (C)ammo series.
Next we headed to Kent to find the first cache in the series. At first we had no idea where to go we had 4 different GPS units all pointing in a different direction. I think the power lines were causing us some problems. Once they settled down we were able to find the cache.
RJ found the cache hiding in the woods. While the cache isn't an ammo can it does fit in with the spirit of series. Very nice cammo.

Out caching with Jchaager, MysticCedars, & RJBroxton and kids on an all day trip to find all the Evil (C)ammo series.
Next we headed to Des Moines to find # 5 in the series. This was another great camouflage ammo can. Dad and I saw the cache at the same time, he grabbed the cache while I took some pictures.

zntargvp Series #3 (GC197NR)
Today I went caching with Jchaager, MysticCedars, & RJBroxton plus our combined 8 kids for a total of 13 people in 3 cars on an all day 80 mile geocaching trip. I had planned this caching trip to find all the Evil (C)ammo series geocaches. All the Evil (C)ammo series were hidden by tomison and since he also hide the zntargvp series we decided add this cache to the trip. I was also a good meeting spot for us to start.
It took us a while to find this cache it was our first 5 star hide and very cleverly camouflaged. RJ's wife made the find. The cache was a magnetic strip stuck to the side of a bridge.

Bevin Lake Pit Stop (GCYW3D)
For Labor Day we when camping with my parents in Packwood, WA. While there we had to find a cache so I found this one at a rest stop between our camp site and Packwood. We could have explored a little more but it pretty much rained all weekend.

Curb Your Addiction (GC16A5Q)
So Julie asked me to go to the store to pickup a few things. I ask her to double check to make sure she has everything... I figured as long as I was here I would try to find this cache. I really wanted to reach 50 finds. I walked by the cache and thought I knew where it was but I thought I needed my magnet tool to get it so I figured I it would have to wait for another day.
I get home and sure enough she forgot the eggs, back to the store I go. This time with my magnet tool. There was a car parked in the spot with a Dad and kids waiting in the car so I figured I would hit it on the way out. I looked in the spot I thought and no luck. I almost gave up but I looked again and found it.
Great cammo I am very impressed.

The Bum's Pants (GC1GMXN)
Jchaager and his kids had already found this one but since it was just a short walk from the previous cache we decided to go. Plus it's right by the river and the kids like the water.
This was an easy find once we convinced the kids to find the cache and not throw rocks into the river.
I dropped off the Spread the Holiday Cheer geocoin.
After we found the cache we had to cross a little bridge over this water way. The kids had to stop to play pooh sticks (a few times).
4 of 4 caches on our trip with Jchaager.

P.S. Oliver after we got home from caching.
