The 3rd geocache of the day is actually right next to the Wildwood Travel Bug Lodge (GCWXX5) there is a gate like 20 feet in front of where we parked and the geocache is at the bottom of the gravel road. The problem was the gate was locked. So we drove by and there wasn't another way down. I told the boys we would have to do this one another day since the gate was locked and I wasn't sure if i wanted to go around it.
I had to go up the road a ways to find a stop to turn around. On the way back we saw 2 people leaving the area with their dogs and walking into the neighborhood across the street. I figured if the neighbors go down there with the gate locked it must be ok. So we parked at the top of the gate and walked down the gravel road.
It didn't take us long to find the geocache but long enough, Ethan jumped into a mud puddle and Oliver found a pile of pea gravel to play in. So both boys were pretty dirty by the time we made the find. But that's what boys do.
As I was loading the boys in the car there was another lady walking her dog headed to the gate so I assume it's normal for people to go for walks down the gravel road.
